Future Plan

To bring the number of co-operatives to a reasonable level, expeditious disposal of liquidated co-operative societies, introduction of e-registration and online registration of profile co-operative societies under e-service is one of the major objectives of the next financial year. Besides, initiatives will be implemented to transform certain number of upazila based cooperative societies into production oriented societies. One of the objectives is to facilitate the citizen services of the Upazila Cooperative Office through innovative initiatives and to facilitate the creation of cooperative entrepreneurs and self-employment through the provision of trade based training and technical assistance. Cooperatives will be assisted in branding and marketing of products with a view to increase domestic production and deliver the products directly to the consumers at affordable prices. In addition, specific proposals will be submitted to the Department of Cooperatives for the creation of new projects / programs for the creation of direct and alternative employment, reduction of social and economic inequalities and improvement and empowerment of living standards of women belonging to the ethnic groups, disadvantaged backward classes through cooperatives.
