Achievements of Upazila Cooperative Office, Magura Sadar, Magura in the last 03 years:
The Upazila Cooperative Office, Magura Sadar, Magura has been able to achieve significant success in the last three years in maintaining the continuity of work of the Department of Cooperatives to make the cooperatives development oriented and sustainable as well as in laying the foundation for facing future challenges. The innovative efforts of the officers have enabled the cooperatives to become more mass-oriented organizations and to develop its quality by forming productive and service oriented cooperatives across the country, adopting cooperative entrepreneurship strategies, cooperative products production and marketing. In the last three financial years, a total of 13 new cooperative societies have been formed and 260 new cooperatives have been made members. Audit of 312 co-operative societies has been completed in 2014-15, 311 in 2015-16 and 312 in 2016-17. Demand based training has been provided to 100 cooperatives through mobile training. Self-employment of 40 people has been arranged through demand based training and loan disbursement. In addition, development projects adopted by the Department of Cooperatives are being implemented in the light of 'Vision 2021', 'SDG' achievement and 8th Five Year Plan. Besides, there are four Shelter Phase-II projects in Magura Sadar Upazila under the Shelter Project of the Prime Minister's Office. 01.
